Dr. Hamed Tashakkori-Nia
MD, CCFP - ENT (Iran)
Dr. Hamed Tashakkori-Nia began his medical career at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, graduating in 1992. He first practiced as a General Practitioner before specializing in Otolaryngology and Neurotology, where he also performed plastic surgeries, refining his surgical skills and broadening his clinical expertise.
In 2013, Dr. Hamed moved to Canada and undertook rigorous retraining to meet Canadian medical standards. Accepted into Saskatchewan’s PRA Program in 2018, he practiced as a Family Physician for three years, expanding his scope of care to include primary healthcare.
In 2022, Dr. Hamed founded Dr. Health in Newmarket with a vision to provide holistic, individualized care. Today, he combines family medicine with aesthetic medicine, offering patients comprehensive treatment options. Known for his patient-centered approach, Dr. Hamed ensures every individual feels heard, respected, and supported throughout their healthcare journey.
Dr. Omid Zaroorian
MD, CCFP
Dr. Omid Zaroorian began his medical career in Iran, where he spent over five years as a General Practitioner in emergency rooms and outpatient clinics. This early experience built a strong foundation in clinical care and exposed him to a wide range of medical cases.
After moving to Canada, Dr. Omid expanded his expertise, earning a Clinical Research Associate Certificate from McMaster University in 2009 and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with Honours from York University in 2011. He then worked for more than four years as a Registered Nurse, further deepening his understanding of patient care and healthcare systems.
Transitioning to family medicine, Dr. Omid has practiced as a Family Physician for seven years. From 2022 to 2024, he served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Saskatchewan and worked as a SIPPA Assessor. He continues to contribute to medical education as an Examiner for the Medical Council of Canada and the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
Since 2024, Dr. Omid has been a GP Hospitalist at Southlake Regional Health Centre and a valued member of Dr. Health, where he is dedicated to delivering evidence-based, compassionate care.
Dr. Firouzeh Rahimi
MD (Iran), Ob/Gyn (Iran)
Dr. Firouzeh Rahimi earned her Doctor of Medicine degree in 1995 in Iran and completed her specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2000. For over 15 years, she provided comprehensive women’s healthcare, combining advanced surgical skills with a meticulous, detail-oriented approach.
At Dr. Health, Dr. Firouzeh draws on her extensive procedural expertise to support patients and collaborate with the medical team. Her background as a specialist surgeon informs her precision in performing minimally invasive treatments and her ability to combine technical skill with an eye for natural, balanced results.
Guided by a commitment to patient comfort and confidence, Dr. Firouzeh remains deeply connected to the medical field. She brings compassion, expertise, and dedication to every patient interaction, ensuring Dr. Health continues to uphold the highest standards of care.
Dr. Shiva Jamshidi
ND, CCNM - MD (Iran)
Dr. Shiva Jamshidi is a Naturopathic Doctor (ND) and International Medical Graduate from Iran who blends her conventional medical training with naturopathic expertise to provide integrative, patient-focused care. After earning her medical degree in Iran, she completed her naturopathic education at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) and a residency at the Marsden Centre with a focus on integrative cancer care.
At Dr. Health, Dr. Shiva offers a broad scope of treatments with a focus on pain management, hormonal health (including menopause), gut health, metabolic disorders, skin care, immune support, and supportive cancer care. She addresses not only symptoms but also the root causes of illness, creating individualized treatment plans that combine natural therapies, nutrition, and lifestyle medicine with evidence-based principles.
Known for her compassionate and empowering approach, Dr. Shiva fosters a safe, trusting environment that supports patients’ physical, emotional, and psychological well-being on their path to optimal health.
Dr. Abtin Ayubi
MD (Iran)
Dr. Abtin Ayubi is an International Medical Graduate from Shiraz University of Medical Sciences in Iran, where he earned his medical degree in 2021. Now based in the Greater Toronto Area, he is actively pursuing residency in Canada through the CaRMS process.
At Dr. Health, Dr. Abtin serves as a Clinical Assistant, supporting physicians in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while deepening his knowledge of the Canadian healthcare system. His strong academic foundation and dedication to evidence-based medicine guide his approach, ensuring patients receive attentive, informed support at every stage of their care.

Dr. Shadi Behrouzfar
MD (Iran), Ob/Gyn (Iran)
Dr. Shadi Behrouzfar is an International Medical Graduate and accomplished Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN) Specialist with over two decades of clinical experience in Iran and Oman. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree in 1994 and completed her specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Tehran University of Medical Sciences in 2000.
Throughout her career, Dr. Shadi has held leading roles at private practices and major hospitals, including Eghbal Hospital and Valiasr Hospital in Iran, as well as Rustaq Hospital in Oman. She has extensive expertise in women’s health, prenatal and postnatal care, and the management of complex gynecological conditions.
At Dr. Health, Dr. Shadi is dedicated to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care, guided by evidence-based medical practices. Her approach combines clinical precision with a deep commitment to supporting women’s health at every stage of life, ensuring patients receive the highest standard of care.
